Reliance completed the first three Fly Stores (Laval, St. Laurent and St. Hubert, Quebec) in North America building on designs and concepts brought to Canada by the French furniture chain to Montreal in 2002. Each store is between 60,000 and 75,000 sf and each was completed in less than 4 months. Our role in all three of these initial North American stores included the constant coordination and assistance to the building owner and design professionals to adapt the European design to the North American market (choice of materials, design techniques and building envelope solutions).

Aluminum extrusion facility housing eastern Canada head offices. Originally constructed in 1995 as a 200,000 sf plant, further enlarged by 50,000 sf in 2000 and an additional 45,000 sf in 2004. The site selected for this building contained a 40'-0" wide river running through it which was excavated and backfilled during the winter months without any impact to the project schedule. The last extension in May 2004 included bases for a $2,000,000 press and underground service trenches.

Extension to existing distribution center, including offices, music labs and humidification controlled storage areas.

Office and warehousing facility.

New 74,000 sf head office for the natural spring water company serving as corporate offices and a shipping/distribution center complete with drive-through loading docks and 32’-0” high steel structure for storage

New 84,500 sf distribution center including 6,000 sf of offices and 120,000 sf of “veit” conveyor/racking system on 3 floors within the warehouse.

A 5-storey condominium development consisting of 6,000 sf of below ground parking, upgrade lobby and 47 finished luxury condo units. Reliance was responsible for completion and fit up of all 47 units according to the individual owner's requirements, including renovation to an existing building (circa 1890) configured for 5 ultra-luxurious "historic" condo units.

BMW dealership, including full glass curtain wall façade, service and wash bay facilities, and administrative offices

The new 17,000 square foot head office for Coach Canada Bus Company includes a maintenance facility for buses complete with wash bays, engine replacement facility and administrative offices.

A 61 unit, 63,000 square foot condo development, undertaken for Prevel in Old Montreal, Quebec. The quaint location for the project required underpinning of two existing turn-of-the-century buildings. The development includes a rooftop terrace with a “Zen” basin. All units are complete with hardwood flooring, hardwood doors and frames, and European kitchens and appliances.
